Raphael Ezeamaka, 18, of Darby, was wanted for a triple shooting that happened on a SEPTA Route G bus at 700 South 57th Street on Tuesday, Oct. 8, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.

Ezeamaka was found in an apartment complex in Middletown, Delaware, according to a release by US Marshals.

Marshals from both the Philadelphia and Wilmington offices knocked on apartment doors and soon Ezeamaka attempted to flee by jumping from a second-floor rear balcony, as detailed in the release. He was found by investigators and apprehended in a rear bedroom without further incident.

Ezeamaka has been held at the Howard Young Correctional Institution where he awaits extradition to Philadelphia.

He has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Illegal Possession of a Firearm, and related offenses, police said shortly after he was identified. Photos of Ezeamaka had been released by the Philadelphia Police Department on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

The three people injured during the shooting include a 29-year-old woman who was shot in the right buttocks, a 60-year-old woman who was grazed by a bullet on the right side of her head, and a 56-year-old woman who was shot once in the lower back, according to police.

All three were taken to Presbyterian Medical Center and are in stable condition, the Philadelphia Police Department said.

“The arrest of Ezeamaka should assure the citizens of Philadelphia that violent crime fugitives will be aggressively pursued no matter where they flee,” said Robert Clark, Supervisory Deputy Marshal for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
